Who we are

Bitsyn Lab is a nonprofit research collective founded by a group of Asian innovators in 2020.

Led by faculty members and students from the 2020 cohort of the Electrical and Computer Engineering program at the National University of Singapore, Bitsyn Lab brings together members from leading universities and related industries. Our shared purpose is to develop and share projects that combine creativity, enjoyment, and real-world usefulness.

The lab was established to create an open and collaborative space where curious people from around the world could come together, exchange ideas, and turn early concepts into real, working projects. Rather than allowing creative ideas to remain only as discussions, we wanted to provide a place where students, researchers, professors, and industry mentors could experiment, build, test, and share practical innovations with others.

As the lab expanded, the cost of research, prototyping, equipment, testing, and ongoing development continued to rise. We therefore created our official website to help support the lab’s daily operations and future research. It also serves as a platform for presenting our work, connecting with professionals in related fields, and inviting more people who share our values to participate in the community.

In an age increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, Bitsyn Lab exists to protect and encourage the qualities that remain deeply human: curiosity, creativity, independent exploration, and the joy of building meaningful things together.
